About Cook for the Cure®

Cook for the Cure is your opportunity to turn entertaining into fundraising! The next time you host a get-together, make it a Cook for the Cure party and invite your guests to make a donation in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. KitchenAid® Canada will donate $50 to the Foundation in addition to the funds you raise. It’s as easy as that!

Since 2002, over $1.9 million has been raised through the Cook for the Cure program and sales from the KitchenAid® Pink Collection. These funds contribute to vital research that supports early diagnosis, more effective treatment and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer. Host for the Holiday

Register & Win
Celebrate the holiday season by hosting a party and be entered to win a KitchenAid® Pink Artisan Stand Mixer! Gather friends and family and add a fundraising element to your holiday party.
Parties registered between November 1 and December 31, 2011, turning in a minimum donation of $100 by January 15, 2012, will be entered into the KitchenAid® Pink Artisan Stand Mixer draw. For every additional $100 raised, an additional ballot will be entered! The winner will be chosen by random draw and announced January 31, 2012.

We want to hear about your most delicious treats - share your favourite pink inspired recipe with us and be entered to win a KitchenAid® Pink Stand Blender! Pink cupcakes, ribbon cookies, or pink drinks – we want to hear what kinds of fun foods you’re making.

Anyone is eligible for the draw whether you’ve hosted a Cook for the Cure party or not, all you need to do is share your pink inspired recipe. Simply post your recipe on the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s Facebook page and then email the recipe to cookforthecure@cbcf.org along with any pictures or stories outlining the inspiration behind your recipe. Contest closes December 31, 2011 and winners will be announced January 31, 2012.

Breast Cancer in Canada

  • In 2010, an estimated 23,200 women in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer, an increase of (500) from 2009. On average, 445 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer every week.
  • Estimated number of new cases of breast cancer in females by age:
  • 6,600 breast cancer cases diagnosed in women 70+
  • 5, 800 breast cancer cases diagnosed in women 60-69
  • 6,200 breast cancer cases diagnosed in women 50-59
  • 3, 500 breast cancer cases diagnosed in women 40-49
  • 950 breast cancer cases diagnosed in women under the age of 40
